Here’s an article proposing a possible improvement for in-context Symbol editing. Whether or not this is the perfect solution, one only needs to check Twitter to see the almost daily tweets lamenting the current symbol editing process. We all appreciate the recent and vast improvements to symbols, but hopefully Sketch is cooking up some updates to allow for in-context editing once again
